My sweet friend Kelly pinned this image the other day, and I just can't get it out of my head. I'm not usually an animal print person (actually, not at all... don't own a single item), but I could get behind these shoes with this outfit.

Inspired by... Lindsey Ellis Beatty

This is the week of the banquette! I guess this isn't technically a banquette, but a good way to get the look without anything permanent. I have always loved this space by Lindsey Ellis Beatty. This stays true to the "inspired by..." concept as it's obviously not a "copy cat" of the space. All of the sources for the inspiration space are on Southern Living's website. Below is what I pulled together using the original space as inspiration. If I were re-doing our apartment, I would definitely incorporate this look into our omni-room!

inspired by... Domino Living Room

I've had these images saved for years-- long before I truly cared about sourcing images.  They were featured in Domino (which is coming back with a special edition, did you hear?). Considering I still love this living room after a few years, I decided it was the perfect candidate for the next "inspired by..." post.

Thankfully, it's now pretty easy to give proper credit for images thanks to reverse image search engines such as TinEye and Google Images. You just upload the image or paste the image link and bam, lots of webpages pop up containing those images.  I'd say I find the original image (not a reblogged version with no credit) about 90% of the time. But I digress...

The inspiration images are of Tori Mellott's living room, photographed by Annie Schlecter and were featured in Domino Magazine.  You can read more about her and her apartments and see other pictures on La Dolce Vita and So Haute Style (both of which came up when I uploaded my picture).  So here's my take on the room.  I'm now dying for that sofa.

inspired by... Blair "Bee" Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific

I've decided to start a new little series... "inspired by".  I think it will be good practice for me in pulling things together.  I always see a picture that inspires me-- whether it is an outfit or a craft project or a room of a house.  But then I never do anything with that picture.  It just collects dust in my pinterest account (well, sometimes I'll flip back through my pins and admire the prettiness).  It's time to take action.

I'm always inspired by Atlantic-Pacific (one of my favorite blogs mentioned here and here). Blair "Bee" Eadie, the blogger, is full of style, charm and personality (even though she rarely uses words... you can just sense it from her pictures). Here's my take on an early spring version of the following outfit.  A time when you still need a sweater and a lightweight scarf but it's ok for your toes to peep out in the sunshine.
